Finish reading up to and including Chapter 16.
Do the following, using regular paper when necessary.
- page 17: complete the charts on this page for both chapters. You are looking for statements that reflect his thoughts and feelings.
- page 18: complete this page, making sure you discuss Henry's behavior towards Jim Conklin, The Tattered Man and Wilson in the Personal Response section.
- pages 18 and 19. Finish the Analyzing Literature Section Questions 1-5.
- page 19: at the bottom of the page is a quote that discusses Henry's attitude after he returns to the regiment. It is italicized and begins, "There was a little flower of confidence...". Copy it on to a sheet of loose leaf paper. Answer the three bulleted questions regarding your interpretation of the quote. The questions have a dot in front of them. I grade these completed packets for completeness, accuracy and detail of your responses.
