Congratulations to those of you who took on the Honors Projects.  I will be happy to review your drafts before you give them to me for a final grade.  Spread them out .  Do not leave them for the end nor do them all at the same time!


Read The Life You Save May Be Your Own .  Take notes on the story before you do your mini paper.

• Base your notes on this prompt ...How are the values of the two main characters ( name them and discuss their values)  damaging to the persons who hold them ( same two characters.).  The Characters you are to work with are Mrs. Lucynell Crater (void-emptiness) and Thomas T. Shiftlet (shifty or shiftless). 
• Then discuss how they become losers because of the way they are.  They do not gain what they seek (she - a husband for her daughter)  and ( he - an automobile to Freedom).
